Chartiers Dining Options

Chartiers Country Club is renowned for superior food, service, and facilities. Whether it is for business meetings, conferences, weddings or any other special occasion, we always pursue excellence, and it is evident in the preparation of our cuisine. Chartiers Country Club offers both traditional and contemporary fare.

Imagine your dining experience in an elegant and warm atmosphere. It may include our signature item, delicious crab cakes made with jumbo lump crab meat, or prime cuts of beef that are hand selected. Our Chef develops these ingredients into masterpieces that are delectable and his disciplined and creative staff change entrees daily to take advantage of the availability. Chartiers Country Club is as versatile as your imagination, so imagine your next visit here.

The Club House will be open at 8:00 a.m. daily except Mondays. An exception to this is over a holiday weekend. The Club would then be open Monday and closed the subsequent Tuesday. The Club will be closed on Tuesdays and on Sunday evenings throughout the first quarter of each year.

Members are encouraged to make reservations at all times prior to dining in Tudor Hall from October 15th to May 15th. Reservations are accepted and appreciated. Porch dining is May 15th through October 15th. Reservations will be accepted on the Porch when it is open.

The Chartiers Country Club Staff:

Herb Hyland, Club Manager:

Herb has been at Chartiers Country Club since April 1999. From that time until December of 2007, he served in the capacity of Assistant Manager. In January 2008, Herb took over as the Club Manager. Before coming to Chartiers, Herb was at Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray, PA.

Herb was born in Phoenix, Arizona and relocated to Pittsburgh in 1992. He currently resides in South Fayette, along with his wife Shyrl and their youngest daughter Alexandra. Their oldest daughter Danielle and her husband reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
Herb is an accomplished veteran in the Country Club business and has brought a family oriented, “upbeat” atmosphere to Chartiers. Stop by and see for yourself what all the excitement is at Chartiers. Make Chartiers your “home away from home”.

Veranda

The perfect venue for summer dining with exquisite sunsets, a view of the 18th green and full ala carte menu service. Entertainment on Friday and Sunday evenings adds to the splendor and casual fun of this club area. Wedding packages include use of the veranda for cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres.

The newly renovated Veranda provides a beautiful setting for a casual dinner with friends and family. The Veranda also comes complete with a full bar overlooking our 18th hole, and is a regular hot spot throughout the year

The Chartiers Room

The Chartiers Room provides a beautiful atmosphere for parties up to 40 people.
Excellent for a private event or business meeting with wifi available.

The Porch

Enjoy ala carte dining or private functions that seats up to 70 people in this light atrium dining area.

The Grand Ballroom

With a majestic view of the 18th green, the ball room can accommodate up to 225 for a sit down dinner, buffet, business meeting or golf outing dining.

The Gallery

Situated next to the Chartiers Room , the gallery with a full bar, can be used as a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre area or can be sectioned off for a private function for up to 15 people

Men’s Grill

The Men’s Grill has been completely remodeled as of 2019 and is now one of the most spectacular in the area. A great relaxing space during any season to enjoy lunch or dinner before or after golf.

A cozy area for cocktails, live entertainment or a fireside chat.

Tudor Hall

With the double-sided fire place and updated décor your fine dining experience will be complete in this lovely room.

Chartiers Members have a wide variety of dining options

The Tudor Hall

The Tudor Hall is the Club's Falll and Winter Casual Dining Room. With its traditional decor and high back chairs, the focus is on a relaxed, leisurely, personal dining experience. The Tudor Hall and Board Room Menu, served after 5 p.m., features a variety of steaks, chops and seafood entrees. Lunch is available weekdays through the winter season, with our Sunday Brunch Buffet on Sundays. Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday during April and May and Wednesday through Saturday evenings during the winter season. Jackets are required in the Board Room Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are always recommended, especially during Brunch season.

The Grille Room

The Grille Room is the Club's traditional club-style lounge. The comfortable, club chairs and the large stone fireplace make this a cozy place for a casual appetizer or a cocktail.

The Porch

The Porch is the Club's summer casual dining room. Light and airy, with more contemporary furnishings, the Porch is the perfect spot for a quick lunch, dinner or snack. Many of our Members enjoy a family dining experience on the Porch. The All-Day Club Menu features entrees, sandwiches, salads and lighter meals. Lunch is available weekdays throughout the year. The Porch is closed during the winter season. Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday during the summer season. Dress is Club casual; club-appropriate denim is permitted on the Porch. Reservations are available during the summer season.

The Men's Grill

Adjacent to the Men's Locker Room on the lower level, the Men's Grill offers a casual dining experience to the Club's male Members and their guests. Lunch is available Tuesday to Sunday through the summer season and Wednesday to Sunday during the winter season. Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday during the summer season and Wednesday through Saturday evenings during the winter season. Denim is permitted and reservations are not accepted for the Men's Grill. Wednesday is Stag Day featuring food specials and card games after dinner. During the summer months a daily lunch buffet is offered on certain days.

The Men's Grill may remain open until 12:00 a.m. if Members are present. Later hours may be arranged at a nominal cost, in advance, with the Men's Locker Room Manager.

The Veranda

Outside dining is available on the Club's Veranda, weather permitting. Lunch and dinner are served during normal Club hours during the summer season. Although dress is casual, pool attire is not permitted on the Veranda and appropriate cover-ups, as well as shoes, are required for service. Due to the limited number of tables on the Veranda, reservations are not accepted and tables are first-come, first served.

The Veranda Bar is open during normal Club hours throughout the summer season. The Veranda Bar will remain open until 12:00 a.m. if Members are present and weather conditions permit. The Veranda Bar is generally not open on days when the temperature is below 60°. Appropriate dress is required at the Veranda Bar, and no one under 21 years of age is permitted to sit at the bar in accordance with Pennsylvania state law.

The Pool

The Snack Bar at the pool serves a variety of snack items and sandwiches during the hours the pool is open. Poolside and Table service are not available from the Snack Bar. As a convenience, cocktail service is available on the pool deck. On the three upper decks, menu service is available from the Clubhouse and will be served in nonbreakable serviceware. Food orders may be placed up to 30 minutes prior to the pool's closing time on a particular day. Due to security and safety, all meal service must be complete within 30 minutes after the posted closing time for the pool and pool deck. Food service may be available on the Veranda past the pool closing time.

The Tenth Tee

The Tenth Tee is open daily during the summer season, when the golf course is open for play. Featuring a variety of sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks and beverages, the Tenth Tee offers a quick bite during your round on the course. It is a Chartiers tradition to roll the dice amongst your group to determine who buys for the round.

Chartiers Curbside Service

Most items on our menus may be ordered for carry-out. Orders may be placed by calling 412-921-3780, at the Grille Room Bar or in the Men's Grill. We will be happy to have your order delivered to the valets for curbside service, if you prefer. Please allow at least 20 minutes for the kitchen to prepare your order; more time may be required at peak times. As our first priority is serving our Members who are dining at the Club, carry-out orders may not be available the last weekend or last day of each month during the peak dinner hour from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Board has determined that there will be an 18% service charge added to all carry-out orders. For orders subtotaling $10 or greater there will be a $5 extra gratuity added to the chit.
